1. Android alpha: Before the release of the android beta in November 2007, there were about two internal releases inside Google/OHA. The green android logo was designed by Irina Brok. Ryan Gibson was the person to conceive the idea of naming the versions with confectionary names. The first one was named as “Cupcake”.

2. Android beta: The beta version of android was released on 5 November 2007. On the other hand, the software development kit (SDK) was released on 12 November 2007. 5 November is considered as the birth day of Android. Following are the public beta versions of SDK released from 2007 to 2008.
